Description Economical Conversion to Shim-type Alignment For off-road use, the shim-type alignment system is more reliable. Heavy usage can cause the cam-type alignment to drift. This economical kit converts from the cam-type to the shim-type alignment. One kit does one axle, front or rear. Replacing the buckets with new shim-type buckets would cost about $600 for front and rear. For 1998 through 2003 trucks, order two kits to convert front and rear. For 2004 and 2006 trucks, including the Alpha, the rear already has the shim-type setup. Order only one kit for these trucks. Some welding is required.   View detailed instructions here.
