Description While it is common to find the repair kits for drum brakes with the springs and shoe retainers, it is not as easy to find the self adjuster repair kit. The Dana 70 automatically adjusts the shoe distance to the drum, every time you hit the brakes while backing up. Unfortunately, due to the heat inside the drum over the last 30 years, combined with old grease and sometimes even road salt, the self adjuster becomes ceased after some time and doesn’t turn anymore thus preventing adjustment manually or automatically. Best solution is to replace the parts with a new kit so your brakes will self adjust again. Kit is driver or passenger side specific. One kit required per side.
